Online

You can give to the College of Engineering and Information Technology or any of our four departments online. Gifts are easy to make and secure–and you can choose to make a one-time donation, or an automatic monthly gift for sustaining support.

Make a Gift to COEIT

You can also donate directly to scholarships, departments and student-led initiatives through the university’s online giving form.

If you have questions about giving to UMBC, please contact Carl Fowlkes, Director of Annual Giving (401-455-3377 or cfowlkes@umbc.edu) or Poulomi Banerjee, Assistant Director of Annual Giving (410-455-8051 or poulomib22@umbc.edu).

By Mail

You may also make your gift to UMBC through the mail using a check or credit card. Simply print and complete a giving form, then mail to:

UMBC Foundation
1000 Hilltop Circle
Baltimore, MD 21250

Be sure to write the name of your gift designation “XYZ PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT” in the memo area of the check and make the check payable to the UMBC Foundation.

Matching Gifts

If you or your spouse works for one of more than 900 employers who match contributions to higher education, your gift dollars may be doubled or tripled. Does your company participate? If you don’t see your company listed, ask your human resources department.

Stocks & Securities

The gift of appreciated stock can be beneficial to UMBC and you. You may be eligible to take a charitable deduction for the market value of the securities, and could potentially benefit by avoiding capital gains tax and reducing your estate tax.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts can be a significant benefit to you, your family, and UMBC. Bequests, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts offer donors a variety of ways to support the University. For more information, visit our Planned Giving website.
