Why did you decide to attend UMBC? And why did you choose your program in particular?
Due to its strong academic programs and research faculty and diverse student body, I chose to attend UMBC. I am fascinated with machine learning and signal processing algorithms so my program in electrical engineering was a perfect fit.
Briefly describe your graduate research and its purpose/applications:
My work involves deducing, or learning, information from a data set that is not immediately obvious using statistical methods and mathematical analysis.
What are your plans after graduation from UMBC?
I will explore many different paths and see what opportunities appeal to me at that time
When you’re not teaching and researching, what are your hobbies and interests?
I have a rose-breasted cockatoo and a reef aquarium
