Why did you choose UMBC?
It’s a good school, and it’s getting better. It’s still improving and in ten years I’ll still be proud to be an alumni because this school is always getting better.
What would you say to a prospective student?
Work hard and don’t give up. You’ll make it.
What has been your favorite class at UMBC?
Actually, I loved one of my general educations, the Human Context of Science and Technology. It was a fantastic class and raised great questions.
What are you researching?
I am researching fungal morphology in Dr. Mark Marten’s lab. I’ve really just started in the lab.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
I would like to go to law school and become a patent lawyer.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Hi! My twin sister is an undergrad here at UMBC as well, so if you say hi and I look at you strange, it’s not me.
