[2/22/2010] -- CYBER MARYLAND: A Report from the Maryland Department of Business & Economic Development identifies UMBC as a leader among colleges and universities in Maryland delivering both Bachelor’s and Graduate degrees combined in Computer and/or Information Science degrees.

CYBER MARYLAND also highlights UMBC as one of 4 “Cyber Security Research Leaders in Academia,” and that UMBC has the highest percentage of students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields in the state of Maryland, only behind the US Navel Academy.

In fall 2009, the U.S. News and World Report America’s Best Colleges Guide named UMBC as the #1 “up-and-coming” college in the nation. Read the complete State of Maryland report at http://issuu.com/karblemarbles/docs/cyberreport.
