Why did you chose UMBC?
UMBC was my first pick in terms of school because of the students and atmosphere. UMBC is a school that makes everyone feel welcome and feel like they belong to a community, since the first day of orientation I have been able to make friends who I still talk to everyday.
What do you love about UMBC?
I love how everyone is so helping and caring for one another! Everybody at UMBC loves being part of the community and helping everyone around them become better at whatever they are doing. This is something you don’t always see on college campuses.
What would you say to a prospective student?
Keep an Open Mind! There are going to be classes you take and people you meet who you know nothing about but over time you learn that it’s amazing everyone is unique and everyone has their story. Every class that you take will be amazing in its own way!
What has been your favorite class at UMBC?
Philosophy 100 with Jim Thomas. This class was somehing that completely changed my way of thing and Jim Thomas taught it’s so amazing that it made you want to come to class on Friday morning. I recommend this class to every one of my friends!
Where did you complete your internship?
I am currently an Intern at Leidos. I am interning as a Software Engineer.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
One of the big things I want to do is go to grad School and also I want to be able to teach after I get my masters. Maybe be an adjunct professor somewhere.
