Undergraduate Student Services (Links)

UMBC participates in the ARTSYS program, an online database for transfer students in the state of Maryland. By using the program, students can:

  • see which courses to take at their community college;
  • see how those courses will transfer;
  • produce their own unofficial transcript with course evaluations;
  • search for an academic major; and
  • find additional information regarding scholarships, financial aid, and transferring.

Students are encouraged to use the Articulation System for Maryland Colleges and Universities (ARTSYS) with the help of an academic counselor, either at their community college or with an Academic Advisor at UMBC or the College of Engineering and Information Technology.
