Why did you choose UMBC?
I chose UMBC because their Business major is like no other. It includes information systems, which was really valuable to me when I was picking a college.

What do you love about UMBC?
I fell in love with the energy and the people on campus here. Everyone is kind to one another, and treats each other with respect. This makes it a great environment to learn with one another.

What would you say to a prospective student?
I would tell them to get involved with the many campus organizations or volunteer. This is a school with a vast amount of campus organizations, there is always something you can do on campus to get involved.

What has been your favorite class at UMBC?
Physical Geography with Professor Halverson! This class was awesome and Professor Halverson is so funny with his “rock puns”. Even though it had nothing to do with my major, it was a very great class and I learned a lot as well. I recommend this Science course to everyone who wants a fun Science credit.

Where did you complete your internship?
I interned with Amidus, solar company. I helped plan events and lead a marketing campaign for the company.

What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
I hope to work in private industry, doing marketing for a non-profit. I also hope to get my Master’s in either Marketing or Health IT.
