Campus Activities: I have been in The UMBC Cleftomaniacs for 3 years (Music director for the last 2 years). I am a member of Catholic Retrievers and the UMBC Chapter of ASME, MODEL ME. I also plan to study abroad next January at the University of Kassel in Germany focusing on Alternative Energy Sources

What do you love about UMBC?
My favorite thing about UMBC is the faculty. As a freshmen, I was scared to talk to my professors, but as soon as I got over that I saw opportunities open up before me. Now I finally feel like I have a support system to help me through my classes and career goals.

What would you say to a prospective student?
Take the opportunities that you wouldn’t normally go for. You never know what experience will get you that internship or make you a lifelong friend.

What has been your favorite class at UMBC? My favorite class was Fluid Mechanics

Where did you complete your internship/applied learning experience?
I have accepted a position this summer to be an intern at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in the Fire Protection Safety Research Branch.

What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
I plan to enter the work force right after graduation with plans for graduate school hopefully within the next couple of years.
