What do you love about UMBC?
I love the academic environment at UMBC. Students care about their studies and the professors are outstanding; they have a passion for the material they teach and are always willing to help.

What would you say to a prospective student?
Never be afraid to ask for help. The professors want to see you succeed as much as you do. Also, don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new whether it be academic or extracurricular.

What has been your favorite class at UMBC?
Machine Design (ENME 304) is my favorite class so far. It was a challenging course but I truly learned a lot and the professor was fantastic. For our final project we had to design and fabricate a crane capable of moving a 2-pound bucket over a barrier. This project led to a lot of sleepless nights but I enjoyed every minute of it!

Where did you complete your internship/applied learning experience?
I have interned at the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company for the past three summers.

What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
plan to enter the engineering workforce right after graduation. My dream job would be to work for Disney as an Imagineer.
