Why did you choose UMBC?
I chose UMBC because I was looking for a university that was focused on academics. UMBC was close to home, affordable and had a great IT program.

What do you love about UMBC?
I love all the opportunities that UMBC has to offer. UMBC showed me that it is cool to succeed academically while being a leader in different extracurricular activities. If I went to a large state school, I would have never had a courage to start a dance marathon and end up raising over $3,000 for children with pediatric cancer. UMBC gave me the opportunity to not only be president of multiple organizations, but find life long friends.

What would you say to a prospective student?
You get out what you put in. If you sit in your room and just do homework for 4 years then you miss out on so many experiences academically and socially that UMBC can offer. Get involved as soon as possible so you can find your niche and grow in that area and come out as a leader.

What has been your favorite class at UMBC?
My favorite class at UMBC would be project management because that is what I most passionate about and what I want to pursue after my undergraduate career.

Where did you complete your internship?
I worked at Scientific Systems and Software International where I worked part-time as the project management intern. I also worked part time as Webmaster at UMBC Hillel all throughout my undergraduate career.

What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree at UMBC?
I hope to work for a security agency as a project manager or a business analyst and also be PMP certified.
